The key to art and photography is OBSERVATION of what light exposes to us, and how it plays with our vision and perspective. It all starts with seeing, even the imagination creates visual images. As an artist or photographer this observation is then CAPTURED.

The subject matter is endless.

Art and photography has the capacity to capture moments, tell stories, expose the unseen, create emotion, and share ideas. It is a medium that translates all cultures and languages.

My artistic exploration started early, around 2 or 3…I was driven to create. From then to now I have continued my exploration of our world and experimenting with a variety of media and subjects. I have a particular interest in the natural world. My father always had a camera, and I was enamoured by image taking, so around 7 I began to photograph. I believe that a good understanding of photography can only enhance fine art expression; it is about light, composition, and sharing imagery. Beyond creating for its own sake, life led to a career as an educator including art and photography instruction. Now semi-retired my interest in art and photography continues with educating adults who wish to pursue or return to their passions and creative curiosities along with my own.
